EEPC India is the premier trade and investment promotion organisation in India.
It is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and caters to the Indian engineering sector.
Set up in 1955, EEPC India now has a membership base of over 13,000 out of whom 60% are SMEs.
To ensure competitiveness of the Indian engineering sector particularly the MSMEs, EEPC India carries out various activities like technology promotion, branding, design intervention, quality and accreditation, skill development, IPR to name a few.
EEPC India has also been actively engaged in helping Indian MSMEs to build its vendor development base by organising vendor development meets with Railway PSUs, Defense PSUs, Power PSUs etc.
The objective of such programs is to integrate the MSME sector in the manufacturing value chain and widen the scope of MSMEs in nation building and manufacturing.

The medical devices industry in India consists of large multinationals as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs) growing at an unprecedented scale. The sector is likely to grow to $ 65 billion industry by 2024. India’s medical devices industry is poised for significant growth in the next five years. The sector is recognized as a sunrise sector under India’s ambitious Make in India campaign.
Considering the importance of the sector especially in the context of ongoing pandemic, EEPC India is hosting a virtual exhibition on Medical Devices, Surgical & Laboratory Equipment and Healthcare Infrastructure and Supplies. Along with the virtual exhibition, a series of panel discussions will be held on the virtual platforms.

India has the 4th largest medical device market in Asia, after Japan, China, and South Korea. Globally, India is ranked as the 20th major medical market, with a size of USD 6 Billion. The Government of India has taken several steps to ensure the growth of a vibrant ecosystem of medical devices manufacturing in India in the last few years including 100 per cent automatic FDI, setting up of Medtech Parks in multiple locations, etc.
