Dr. Srikar K. Reddy joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2001. He served in Germany from October 2003 to November 2008 at the Indian Embassy in Berlin and the Consulate General of India in Munich. He worked at Headquarters in the Ministry of External Affairs as Under Secretary/Deputy Secretary from November 2008 to July 2011 and handled bilateral relations with Pakistan. He was Regional Passport Officer for the period July 2011 to August 2014. He worked as Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of India to the World Trade Organization (WTO) from August 2014 to October 2017 and was Indian delegate to the TRIPS Council, Committee on the Regional Trade Agreements (CRTA), Negotiating Group on Rules (NGR), and the Committee on the Trade and Development (CTD) at the WTO. He served as Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from October 2017 to March 2020. He was Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs responsible for India’s relations with countries in East and Southern Africa (E &SA) for a brief period from March 2020 to June 2020.

He is currently in the Department of Commerce as Joint Secretary in charge of the FT-Africa, FT-WANA and EP-Engineering divisions.

Presently working as Deputy Head of South and South-West Office of UN ESCAP, New Delhi since August 2018 and leading research, policy advisory and capacity building on helping countries accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. He is leading a project on capacity building of women entrepreneurs from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from South and South-West Asia for using digital marketing and e-commerce platforms for promoting their business and becoming part of national, regional and global supply chains. Already 1600 women entrepreneurs have been trained during 2020 – 2021 under the project. He earlier worked in Trade, Investment and Innovation Division in Bangkok from July 2012 to August 2018, where he handled the work of research and capacity building on WTO and RTAs trade policy and trade negotiations. He has organised more than 200 trainings for the policy makers as well as researchers and private sector on various topics including e-commerce, digital marketing, WTO, RTAs, negotiations, SPS, TBT, etc. During 2008 to 2010 he worked as Professor and Head, Centre for WTO Studies, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. He handled the research activities on WTO and FTA/PTA negotiation, the outreach & capacity building programmes and facilitated several stakeholders’ consultations for Government on WTO and FTA issues to disseminate the information relating to negotiations including challenges for private sector and build consensus between the policy makers and private sector on issues that were holding conclusion of negotiations. Dr. Ratna is an Indian civil servant and had worked for 25 years in the Government of India, mostly in the Ministry of Commerce handling the formulations of India’s foreign trade policy and trade negotiations in WTO and FTAs. He had negotiated the Uruguay and Doha Round negotiations in WTO and India’s Free Trade Agreements. He received a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi with concentration in the area of Regional Integration and Development Economics. He has done his M.Phil. in Environmental Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has done his Masters in Science from Banaras Hindu University. He has written many books covering topics of WTO, Regional Trade Agreements; Trade Facilitation and Poverty Reduction; Rules of Origin; Mainstreaming Gender through Trade Policy; and has contributed chapters to several edited books and published several papers in peer reviewed journals. His latest publication is an edited book titled “Indian Agriculture Under the Shadows of WTO and FTAs” (Springer publications, 2021).

Mr. T.D. Sivakumar has more than 25 years of work experience, with over 21 years in India Exim Bank, in various roles and in different locations. He joined the Bank in 2000 and is currently heading Business Development Group. Prior to this, he has headed the Bank’s Project Exports and Corporate Banking groups and the Bank’s offices in Washington DC, Chennai and Bengaluru.

Mr. Sivakumar was selected by the Washington D.C. based Institute of International Finance for its Future Leaders Group in 2014, with participants, who are all 40 or under and nominated by their institutions, based on a track record of achievement within the institution and their potential to become a future leader in global finance. He has attended the Advanced Leadership Programme : Credit, Markets and Financial Technologies, jointly organized by CAFRAL and McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA. He has also attended High Performers’ Leadership Development Programme, jointly organized by ICLIF, Malaysia and Australian Institute of Management, Australia. He is Member of Advisory Group for Commonwealth Small States Trade Finance Facility.

Mr. Sivakumar holds a bachelor’s degree in leather technology from Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University, Chennai, and a master's degree in business administration (with specialisation in finance & marketing) from Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli. He has also completed the World Bank Group’s Massive Open Online Courses on Financing for Development and Public Private Partnerships.

Mr. Sivakumar has travelled across the world for business and has also made presentations in international events and fora. He is married and lives in Mumbai with his family. In his leisure time, he enjoys time with the family, watching movies and travelling.

Dato’ Madani Sahari is the CEO of the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), previously known as the Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI). MARii is the focal point, coordinating centre and think tank towards enhancing the competitiveness of the automotive industry and overall mobility, through the adoption of Robotics and the Internet of Things (IoT), under the custodian of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
